I have created a sample project for you with the functionality you want. Basically I set each HierarchyDescriptor’s HierarchyDisplayName Property.

It seems that the best way for changing the dimension's display name is by setting the DimensionMetadata's DisplayName Property as stated in the reffered forum thread.
