Hi,
I am very interested in this XamGrid feature to display the group's summary in a merged cell as documented in:
http://help.infragistics.com/Help/NetAdvantage/Silverlight/2011.1/CLR4.0/html/xamGrid_Custom_Merged_Cells.html
Is this on the roadmap for XamDataGrid? I am developing a WPF app so I would really want to see this in XamDataGrid.
Thank you very much.
Nice Post, I am looking into this and looks like very much helpful. I will keep you posted once I will be able to utilize this post in my project as per the requirement.
Anyways thanks for this it has something which can be taken up positively for the requirement.
Hello,
I am just checking the progress of this issue and was wondering if you managed to achieve your goal or if you need any further assistance on the matter.

Hi again,
I have been looking around, however there doesn’t seem to be any such decision, for now the XamGrid is include just for the ability to have cross-platform solutions. Also there doesn’t seem to be a CellMerging functionality for the XamDataGrid planned. This is why I have done some implementing of my own to show you how you can create a similar behavior for the XamDataGrid (Grid_no_repetitions.zip). I have been able to figure out how to hide repeating record values for the first and second column. Also I managed to sync the second column to hide the values only if the first column values is also the same as the previous record’s.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance on the matter.
I saw that too but our app made such extensive use of XamDataGrid (we used it from version 2009) that changing to XamGrid would be a very big change.
For my curiosity, why do we have 2 grids? Is there a plan to consolidate the 2 into 1?
I have been looking into your enquiry and for this functionality doesn’t seem to be on the roadmap for the XamDataGrid, however in the latest 11.2 volume release we have incorporated the XamGrid in the NetAdvantage for WPF LoB package, which will aloow you to use it straight away in your WPF application.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
