how do I disable the option. I dont want the tick marks to be even calculated. The dispatcher hangs when I do the the min max values constantly from c#.

If you leave the Slider.TickMarks collection empty, no tick marks will be calculated.
If that is empty (or undefined) and you are still having issues, could you please provide a sample for us?
