WPF rendering performance

Using the docmanager we have experienced slow downs in the WPF rendered that have been verified using WPF Performance Monitor in Microsoft Windows Performance Toolkit. This only happens on XP. The symptom seems to be that when we have areas pinned the rendering drops dramatically. Usually we get results of 55-60 fps but when an area is pined it can drop off to 10-15fps. To make matters worse, this does not happen all the time.

Have you ever experienced something like this? Any help provided is highly appreciated.

    If you would submit a sample project which demonstrates this problem, we can investigate this further.

    On the other hand, if this is only reproducible in your application, I would recommend you open a developer support case. An engineer can work with you directly to uncover what it is in your application that might be causing this performance problem as well as determine if there is a bug in our code.
