posted

will infragistics support silverlight, if yes when is beta release & release planned or roadmap for that?

can the xaml generated for wpf reusable for Silverlight?

is the code-behind for wpf be migrated to Silverlight with less amount of code, how does it work in scenario for business objects.

    Hello vairam2008,

I am happy to let you know Infragistics is working on a version of NetAdvantage for Silverlight which should ship shortly after Microsoft publishes the final release of Silverlight 2.0. Are engineers are currently working with Microsoft to ensure we are up to speed with their release dates. Both the WPF and the Silverlight products will evolve together with the respective platforms. Most (if not all) of the code should be re-usable between the WPF and Silverlight products. The only limitations will be the ones Microsoft allows. As you probably know Silverlight is a subset of WPF functionality and that with version 2.0 there will be better support for the CLR and languages like C# and VB for code behind. We will try to come up with some sample modules where the same code and XAML will be used in both WPF and Silverlight products.
