We are using .NET Advantage for WPF 2008 Vol. 2. Our application uses the XamRibbon, and until now has been fine. Today I added the following empty ribbon group:
<igRibbon:RibbonGroup Id="kioskModeEditing" Caption="Editing"/>
And upon running the application crashed with this exception:
Upon careful inspection I verified that there were no duplicate ID's. I also verified that adding this unrelated group was the difference maker-- removing it also gets rid of the crash. I am wondering if I have hit some hard-coded limit for number of groups? Or perhaps this is a bug that was fixed in a later release?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hello,
You can download the latest service release from our site, just you need to login to our site go over "My IG" and select the appropriate product from tabs below. You will see a list of all of your registered keys. Select the key and click on the hyperlink for it. The page will expand below and show you links to downloading the Service Release. I'm not aware of that issue. t's entirely possible that the issue was addressed in a hotfix for 8.2 although it's also possible that the issue wasn't reported/found until after 8.2 was no longer receiving hotfixes so it may only be addressed in a later version. You may want to try with the latest hotfix for 8.2. If you still get the issue, perhaps you could provide a project that demonstrates the problem and I can test it with the latest version and see if the problem still exists.
