Attempting to Apply Hotfix for WinClient 2008

Hi

 We are trying to apply the December hotfix for the WPF controls (2008 Vol3 WFP Hotfix) to the Winlient 2008 Vol3 install.  When we run the hotfix a Windows Installer message appears saying we are not using the right version for the hotfix.  Any advice on how to proceed?  We are on Windows Vista - in the past I know this has caused issues (non-install related) with your controls as there seems to be little testing on Vista environments and there are multiple versions installed (each in their own installation folder).
