    I have been looking into the functionality that you are looking for and I can suggest looking into our Feature Browser for NetAdvantage for WPF Line of Business. It contains a sample that demonstrates how you can add a Button in the Summary record using Template. The sample is located in xamDataGrid\ Row Summaries\ Custom Button in Summary Template.
