XML custom language errors shown in XamSyntaxEditor

We have implemented XML editor with provided XML syntax code generated by Infragistics Sample for custom language from EBNF. The example has inbuilt XML code but we face a minor error shown in our XML text:

I've tried to do research on EBNF file and looks a little bit suspicious the exclusion character classes since < and > are text blocks so I believe regex definition might be wrong in the provided EBNF code of the Infragistics sample:

Please help to eliminate this error from XML syntax parser since this is false positive. After adding lookup on grammar errors I see fallowing errors generated by syntax editor control:
