XamRibbonWindow overlap the window Title bar. Nor able to click on window min, max and close button

Hi Team,

I am facing XamRibbonWindow title bar overlap issue when I am launching my WPF application via Win Form.

I am using "Office2k7Black" theme in the ribbon. Sample project attached with the ticket.

I need fix of this problem in WPF code with Office2k7Black theme.

This issue is reproducible in with Office2k7Black theme. This functionality is working with "Office2010" theme.

Environment : Windows 10

Hello Anoop,

After further investigation by the developer, he provided this information in order to resolve the issue:

"The buttons weren't covered per OS. The only time we let the os render the non-client area is when glass is enabled. In this case while desktop composition is enabled the app theming of the non-client area (for all hwnds in the application/process) was turned off because they have the following code in the form ctor:

Application.VisualStyleState = VisualStyleState.ClientAreaEnabled;

It doesn't matter that they are setting that in the instance constructor - it still affects the entire process disabling non-client theme rendering for the entire app. If you showed a normal wpf form you'd see classic style buttons. So the problem was that we thought the OS would be rendering the glass non-client area buttons. So what we needed to do was consider whether the non-client area was themed and if not ensure that the IsGlassActive property is false so that the template would show the caption buttons in the template just as it would if you had changed the OS theme to classic."

So if the app themes are such that the non-client area would be unthemed then you should initialize IsGlassActive as false because we need to render the non-client area via the template.

Hello Anoop,

Thank you for the update.

As I have informed through the other case that I have logged this behavior in our internal tracking system with a Development ID of 254850 .

The XamRibbonWindow is a WPF control so we will provide the fix for this WPF control only. The next step will be for a developer to review my investigation and confirm my findings or to offer a fix, or other resolution.

I will leave this case open and update you with any new information after the review.

Hi Divya - As I said previously that I am not able to click on windows 'Min, Max & Close' button just because of your Infragistics Office2k7Black theme. I need all these button clickable in the sample project with the same theme.

Please fix this issue in WPF sample project only not in Win forms.
