I suppose you need to enable column fixing feature of the XamGrid - here's a help article that explains how the feature works. Here's also a link to the sample for the feature so you could get a sense what it is and whether it's what you need. Here's the link to the download location of the sample's browser where you could check the sample itself no only the screenshots.
