Hello Frank,

You can completely remove the menuitem ''Platform Installer 2014.1'' from Visual Studio by removing the 2014.1 folder mentioned in your reply and carefully removing the registry entry pointing to that folder. 

1. Remove registry entry,  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Infragistics\Installer\2014.1\PlatformInstaller

2. Remove folder, C:\ProgramData\Infragistics\14.1

Hello Josheela John,

I have installed again the WindowsForms 14.1 package and then uninstalled the WindowsForms 14.1.
Then the complete “Infragistics” menu item in Visual Studio 2013 was erased.
After installing again “Infragistics Version Utility 2015.1” and “Infragistics Visual Studio Extension 2015.1” the menu item in Visual Studio 2013 was created new and it still shows “Platform Installer 2014.1”.

In my “Control Panel“ everything regarding WindowsForms 14.1 is uninstalled.
Next I did check for any installation folders and I have found two:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Infragistics\2015.1\Version Utility
C:\ProgramData\Infragistics\14.1

Under “C:\ProgramData\Infragistics\14.1\Log Files” I have found a logfile "IGPlatformInstall.log" and attached.

I have had in the past a strange behavior with “WindowsForms 14.1” and maybe there is a correlation with this post:
