How do I change the saving settings for display layout from .lyt to .xml. during layout wizard. I would like to save the layout as xml. I can't find that saving layout setting. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure what you are asking. All you have to do is change the filename of the saved file. lyt is the default extension, but you do not have to use that, you can use any extenstion you like.
I have tried that and is not working, it writes to the file but the contents its still binary although I have renamed the file with the xml extension.
Changing the filename doesn't change the contents of the file. If you want to save the file to an xml format, then you have to choose to save it as xml, not as binary. I'm sure the layout wizard must have an option for this, doesn't it?
Hmm... I just took a look, and it appears I was wrong. The layout wizard only saves to binary, there is no option to save as xml. Sorry for the confusion.
