Actually, I think I figured it out playing with the FomrattedLinkLabel designer. Basically, what I am trying to do is a hybrid of the gmail autocomplete, where characters typed into the text box are highlighted as wildcard substrings anywhere in the column in the dropdown. This behavior begins after a minimum of 3 characters plus a pause. It is mostly working, but I am now trying to figure out how to continue highlighting and narrowing the scope as additional characters are typed.
