Does UltraGridExcelExporter need Microsoft Office installed?

Hi, the ultraGridExcelExporter is used to export the data from UltraGrid to Office Excel, so I'd like to confirm that ultraGridExcelExporter needs Microsoft Office installed or not for this exporting?

    Hi,

    You do not need to have Microsoft Excel installed in order to export a grid to Excel or to use the Infragistics Excel assemblies to create Excel Files.

    Of course, you do need to have Microsoft Excel installed if you want to open up those Excel files and view them. But you could create the files on a machine that does not have Excel installed and then open them on some other machine that does have it.
