Excel-like row scrolling in Infragistics UltraGrid
posted

Our users would like the grid to scroll and focus rows exactly as in Excel. This means:

  • When they select, say, the 2nd row down, and press Page-down, they want to go a page down, and then ensure the selection stays in the same position on the screen (i.e. 2nd row down in the new set of visible rows should be selected).
  • When they page back up, they want to focus on the row that was previously selected.
  • We'd like this to work in grouped views as well.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this would be we helpful. Ideally we wish there was simply a switch along the lines of "ScrollingStyle = Excel" that would enable this.

Thank you.
