I am using a ultraTextEditor with UltraValidator component. I have set the NotificationSettings.Action = default or Action = image for same result that invalid values show the red error icon beside the invalid editor and show a tooltip when the mouse hovers over the error indicator. This tooltip shows the caption and text but no image. I have set the NotificationSettings.Image which shows beside the editor but not in the tool tip. Your help documentation shows the image in the tool tip.
Is there another setting I'm missing here?

The functionality that we implement at that moment in our UltraValidator allows you to show an Image, Caption and Text in the tooltip if you are setting the Action property to one of these options:
- Message Box
- Balloon tip
Regarding your questions about the position of the tooltip of your UltraToolTipManager, maybe you could use the method
ultraToolTipManager1.ShowToolTip(ultraTextEditor1, new Point(x,y)) to set the location of your tooltip, when hover of the control.

I am trying the approach using an UltraToolTipManager. I'd like the tool tip attached to the error icon similar to the current tool tip (which lacks an image). If I initialize the tool tip passing in the text editor control, it will show anywhere on the editor. What is the control or UI element that I should use to trigger the tool tip for the error icon rather than the whole editor control?

Maybe one possible approach to achieve such kind behavior is to use UltraToolTipManager together with UltraValidator. Using the UltraToolTipManager you are able to show in the tooltip image with caption and text.
