Clone Toolbar
posted

I have a design requirement that was handed to me today and I am doing a bit of recon to see if its possible.

User Requirement:

Currently the toolbar manager has menu items tools, ect.. We wanted to give the user the ability to hide menu items based on a user attribute. If the user has the attribute then we will show the menu, ect...

This part was easy. Now the customer would like to be able to open a popup window that basically has a clone of the toolbar with checkboxes on each menu item and check a group of items and add the attribute to them.

My Questions:

1. Can I clone the toolbar on the fly and add it to the modal popup the user requested?

2. Can I add checkbox's to each menu item?

Thanks, -Joe

    Hello Joe,

I`m not sure that I understood your scenario, but maybe one possible approach to achieve desired behavior could be if you are using default Runtime customization of your UltraToolbarManager. Could you please take a look at the attached video file for more details and let me know if you think that I misunderstood your questions.
