Infragistics: WinForms 2010.3 - I'm wondering about the fonts selected through the AppStylist, such as Verdana, etc. Do they need to be installed manually during the application set up process? Does a separate license from Infragistics need to be obtained to redistribute the AppStylist fonts in commercial applications?
Thanks, Stan
Hello,
I am just checking about the progress of this issue. Let me know If you have nay further questions on this issue?
Thank you for using Infragistics Components.
Hello,
AppStylist for Windows Forms uses all available fonts that are installed on the machine, so if you use some font that is not in the fonts that is provided with Windows, then you should install this font with application that use this AppStylist (this font) .
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you, Torrey. That's great.
Verdana is available on 99% of Windows systems out there that can run your application. You shouldn't need to distribute it at all.
On the other hand, if you're using a font that was downloaded from a website or installed from another application, you will need to check the license information they provide on the website or by inquiring with the company you obtained it from.
If you're not sure on the font you've grown fancy to (as to whether it was later installed or was included with Windows), just Google it's name.
