I use some Ultratoolbars in a form, and that toolbars fills all the upper space of the form, almost all of them are "truncated" - not all toolbars buttons are visible.
For the most toolbars this is not a problem, but for ones I'd like to always display all items. Is it possible to say to the UltraToolbar do not "truncate"(hide) its items (when docked).
Maybe we are talking about different things then. Can you post a small sample which displays the issue?
I tried what you suggested (i.e., Style=Office2000) and I'm still getting the same behaviour - bumped tools are for all toolbars in the row not just the group on which I clicked.
Is there something else beyond Syle that needs to be set?
It sounds like you are talking about toolbars, not groups, and you have multiple toolbars in the same row. If that is the case, then this is expected behavior. When you drop down the bumped tools popup for any toolbar, you will see all bumped tools in the row of toolbars. This is to mimic Microsoft Office functionality. Currently, the only way you can separate the tools is to set the UltraToolbarsManager.Style to Office2000, because this did not happen in Office 2000. You can also submit a feature request for a property that would allow you to split the tools in the bumped tools drop down.
Hi,
Why when using the IsFirstInGroup property to get many groups for the toolbar, the hidden tools are shown for all groups and not for the clicked group (when we click the expand group arrow ">>"), for example if we have a group with tools (save, copy, cut(hidden), past(hidden) and a second group with tools (open, find(hidden), then when we click the expand group arrow ">>" for the first or the second group we see all the hidden tools (cut, past, and find), why we dont see only the hidden tools for the clicked group?
Regards
No, this is not currently possible. There is a SharedProps.Priority on each tool which helps control which tools should be bumped from the toolbar first when there is a lack of space, but tools are only chosen based on priority within each toolbar. The priorities are not compared across toolbars. You can submit a feature request for a setting that would change the way priorities are considered.
