I am in Column Layout Mode and have AllowColSizing set to Syncronized. It works fine when no columns are in Groups but when I put all Band[0] columns into their respective groups when I re-size the group only Band[0] is syncronized with the group and Band[1] doesn't move. In fact it breaks Column sync all together. Whats the deal?

With all that being said....I am trying to accomplish the following look:
Columns are in blue and group columns are in red. I need the synchronization to work for all of it so currently I can't use Groups. Is there a way to use your product and get this to work. I can't figure it out.
Thanks for any ideas.
I am in ColumnLayout mode but the designer still gives me access to add groups.
If under the hood it has changed my grid to Group or Row layout when I am in that screen (after adding a group) it should warn me, at the very least. Simply because I explicitly switched it to ColumnLayout earlier. In fact there is no Group LayoutMode....It actually changed Layout Mode to None.
It isn't very user friendly and can be confusing when it makes changes without telling you. "Oh, you are adding a group? I am about to change your layout mode. And Synchronize will only work in ColumnLayout" The designer should be smarter since you guys know all the rules already. There should be more messages popping up.
This is the screen where I built my groups and was never warned that the changes would break my current setup.
Hi Ken,
I don't understand... ColumnLayout mode does not support groups. So what you are describing here is not possible,
Are you using GroupLayout mode? Or the standard mode? Or are you using different RowLayoutStyles on each band?
If you are using Groups in one of the bands, then you would have to use them in both. There's no way to synchronize columns when using groups - only the groups can be synchronized.
