Hi,
I've installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 RC and "Infragistics Select 2009 Vol. 1 WinForms Service Release 20091.2029".
In VS 2010, there is no Infragistics tab in my toolbox. I exit VS 2010 and run the "Create Visual Studio Toolbox Tab" utility from the start menu, but it errors with "Argument 1 was Invalid".
I tried running the "Create Visual Studio Toolbox Tab" exe from the command line myself using various switches, but it seems to not want to recognize VS 2010.
Is there un updated version of the "Create Visual Studio Toolbox Tab" utility that has VS 2010 support? Is there another method of adding the Infragistics controls to the VS 2010 toolbox that does not involve using the utility?
Thanks,
Scott
Is Infragistics 10.2 compatible with VS 2010 ?
I seem to be having similar issue!
Pradeep
It works, thanks!
I've figured it out.
If you create a new project, but in the "New Project" dialog choose ".NET FRAMEWORK 3.5", your Infragistics toolbox items will appear (assuming you have added them to your toolbox)
Choosing .Net Framework 4.0 (the default for VS2010) causes the Infragistics toolbox items (except for UltraChart) to disappear/grey out.
I suspect this is because the Infragistics controls are not currently .Net framework 4.0 compatible. I would therefore be cautious in claiming that the controls are VS 2010 compatible - a little misleading.
Hi
I'm having a similar issue, except I've tried a couple of reboots and it doesn't fix the toolbox. I do, however, have one item in the toolbox (Infragistics Winforms) - UltraChart.
The history of my installs is that I have VS 2008 installed (and working), installed VS 2010 Beta 2 and had this working with Infragistics controls (from memory !) and today un-installed VS2010 Beta 2 and installed the VS2010 RC followed by and un-install and re-install of Infragistics Winforms 9.2. After this didn't work I tried rebooting and running the "Create Visual Studio Toolbox Tab" - which whilst it shows no errors, doesn't install the toolbox. I have a new development and with the pending VS2010 release am keen to get started using VS2010 RC.
This is on a PC running Windows 7 x64 (if that makes any difference).
Any ideas what to try next?
Gary
This seems to be a bugfeature. Rebooting the machine (sometimes) helps.
