Not seen any alternate state for Treenode.
For Wingrid there is a Alternate item property in other states tab.

I don't think the tree has support for coloring alternate nodes. If it did, then way to do it would be to go to the TreeNode UIRole in AppStylist and look for an "Alternate" state in the state tabs at the bottom. This is how the grid does it. But I suspect that the tree does not support the "Alternate" state and so the tab will not show up.
If that's the case, you should Submit a feature request to Infragistics
