We have bought and paid for Infragistics controls in order to emulate the Office 2007 look and feel. However, I have 2 issues with the Infragistics Ribbon when compared to the actual Office Ribbon.
One, the height is greater. Roughly, the height is 10 - 15 pixels greater. And, from other posts, the height cannot be changed. The explanation as to how the height is determined is one thing, but somehow Microsoft does it. It should not be impossible to simply match an Office Ribbon. They are about 90 pixels tall.
Two, when using the Black theme, the dark area behind the tabs is much darker than it should be. It is not me, the demos are too dark as well. For example, run "Ribbon with Formatted Text Editor", switch to Black Theme via Application Menu, then open up Office 2007, and compare. Not the same.
Again, I want the Infragistics ribbon to more closely match the true Office 2007 ribbon. It should not be that hard. I just don't undersatnd why out-of-the-box the ribbons differ. They should not.
Hi Scott,
Thx for your comment. I want to let u know that issue #1 is known bug and it's being fixed. You can report a bug for issue #2. That's something new.
thx
Hope
Doesn't anybody have an idea or workaround or a thought or opinion?
Again, my main point is the Infragistics Ribbon does not match what they are supposed to be emulating in terms of height and colors.
