Appear somewhat frequently with the need for more control over the summary description area.
As well it would be beneficial to have GroupByRowFooter control similar to the GroupByRowHeader capabilities.
Hopefully this will stir some public feedback.

I agree. You should Submit a feature request to Infragistics if you have not already done so.
