From the call stack it doesn't seem like this is specific to Windows 2000; what is the data type? I can't think of any reason why it would work in XP and not 2000. What version of NetAdvantage are you using?

I had faced the same problem. After installation of Dot net framework 2.0 service pack 2 on my system, this problem had been resolved. I think this functionality is internally using any function provided in this service pack.
