A lot of my controls are set to have a transparent background so that a gradient image in the owning window shows through.   This always looks fine on my computer, but for some reason does not look right on most (all?) other computers.  For these the background is white/opaque.

What could be the difference?

 I am seeing this in the pages of the tab control, labels, ultrabuttons and others.
