Isl file with different behavior on 2 different machines
posted

Hi,

I've noticed that the isl file distributed with our application doesn't give the same result on different machines. For example, the grid has a different font and worse, it doesn't have the same forecolor in the selected rows.

When opened with AppStylist, it is not rendered the same way on 2 developers' computers.

 Any idea  ?

Well... the font might be explained by the fact that the isl is using a font that may not be installed on one of the machines. In such a case, the controls will end up falling back to some default font.

I'm not sure about the ForeColor. Are the two machines running different operating system? How different are the colors? Could the color difference just be the normal variance of colors between different monitors and video cards? Or are they completely different colors?

Oh... perhaps the ForeColor in question is set to use a System Color?
