How to multi select Column and Rows on Mouse over

We recently upgraded our Infragistcs version from 3.1 to 6.2 . In 3.1 we were able to use the mouse and drag and select 4 records.Now we are unable to use the mouse to multiselect the multiple records. But the keyboard (Ctrl + Downarrow ) works. Is there anything specfic that we need to
do handle in 6.2 version regarding mouse movements?

My Grid is of type CartView. 

I am setting up the following property to  SelectTypeRow property =ExtendedAutoDrag , When I do this I am able to multi select the rows on mouse left click and drag. But When I click on the Column and start dragging , its not working.

Do I need to setup something else.

To be precise , its not working when I click on Column and drag rows from the left corner.

    I'm not sure I understand the problem.  It might help if you clarify what you mean by "click on the Column".  Do you mean a column header, or a particular cell?  Do you have a situation where this does approach work?  What if you turn CardView off?

    This may be a situation where screenshots may be helpful, to be clear about where you're clicking where row ("record") selection works, and where you're clicking where it doesn't.
