Just downloaded and installed our licensed copy of v16.2, specifically looking at the samples for the WinForms PivotGrid Demo.
No matter what I do I cannot drag anything from the data selector area onto the Pivot Grid.
Am I missing something completely obvious here?

I have tested some UltraPivotGrid in the sample browser of v16.2, but I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem you described - not being able to drag any items from the data selector onto the pivot grid.
I have created a sample project for you. Can you please test to see if this sample runs without any errors in your environment, and dragging items works or not?

Both your supplied sample and the Infragistics samples are now working. I don't really have an explanation as to why it was not working yesterday, I did open and close the Local Samples a number of times, possibly my overnight reboot did the trick!
I have noticed today though that the Pivot Grid Binding to ADOMD Data Source is no longer allowing any selection from the Catalog dropdown list, possibly your Infragistics dedicated data server is offline?

I have reproduced the problem of the ADOMD sample in my environment. I have asked our engineering staff to examine this further. To ensure that it will receive attention, I have logged this behavior in our internal tracking system with a Development ID of 228843. This will be assigned to a developer in a future sprint to review my investigation and confirm my findings or to offer a fix, or other resolution.I will leave this case open and update you with any new information after the review.
