Issues with WinGrid since v16.1 upgrade

Since upgrading a project from 15.2 to version 16.1 of wingrid we are getting the following exception.

See the end of this message for details on invoking

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

No code has changed just the version update.

Hi Mike,
There was a fix in grid's SyncImeMode method prior to the release of 16.1 to support the new AutoEditMode feature added in 16.1.We were able to reproduce a similar Null Reference Exception in the SyncImeMode method once we set the ActiveCell to null/nothing in the AfterCellUpdate event of the grid and we have a fix for the same which is expected to be made public in the bi-weekly build scheduled for 5/20.In the mean time if you can send me a sample to reproduce and verify the issue would be great.

Please also be informed that this is not a fully tested build. This is one of our bi-weekly builds which has many big fixes but has not gone through a full round of regression.
