The radial style of IGProgressView doesn't have sane defaults. One vanilla instantiation shows a blank white circle. Setting progress does nothing until radialInsertScale is set to something sane. Maybe this only affects autoLayout constrained ProgressViews. I have not tested.
Hi Caylan,
Do you have an isolated sample that can produce these results? What you described sounds similar to another forum post you had where a control containing frame dependent code was used in an event before the auto layouts were set up to provide a valid frame.
No, I don't. However, I can tell you that the default style works fine "out of the box." It's just the radial that has the "white circle" problems. Also, to give you a bit of an idea how much this threw me off... my initial design a few months ago used a "egg timer" style progress view animating linearly from 1.0 to 0. Seems simple... but I gave up because I couldn't get it to display anything. I revisited this morning and came across the radialInsertScale fix. So, once abandoned - twice fixed. Works great now that I understand it... but I would much prefer to have an empty, 100% clear donut timer... i.e. mask out the center view when it is set to nil. My art mockup was an already pulsating icon that I wanted to "wrap" in a circular countdown visual. Instead, I opted for a translucent pie-style timer. Lots of metaphors here, sorry, I'm rushed!
Hello Caylan,
May I ask if you have any additional questions at this time? From my understanding it seems that you have resolved your issue but would like the ProgressView to be more robust? You can submit a feature request on our website at ideas.infragistics.com
If you would like for us to continue investigating any issues you are facing on the matter please send us screenshots and/or steps. Thanks in advance.
