Hi,
I am currently using visual studio 2010 with Infragistics dll version-10.3. Since, we are getting some UI issues in browser IE-11.. we are upgrading to latest infragistics version to 14.2...
How to upgrade, whether I need to use version utility 14.2 or need to download the Infragistics 14.2 Product bundle and install.. Please suggest..
Thanks,
Hello John,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
Upgrading will depends on which controls you are using. If you are using the classic controls such as the UltraWebGrid there isn’t a tool to upgrade. You will want to either upgrade to the new Aikido controls or the Ignite UI jQuery controls. You can see the following blog for which classic controls were retired:
http://es.infragistics.com/community/blogs/taz_abdeali/archive/2011/11/17/asp-net-product-changes-in-2011-volume-2.aspx
You can see samples of the newer controls at the following links: ASP.NET Ajax: http://es.infragistics.com/samples/aspnet/
Ignite UI for jQuery: http://igniteui.com/
If you are already using the ASP.NET Ajax/Aikido controls you can use the Version Upgrade Utility to upgrade your version:

Hi Mike,
I am using classic controls like "UltraWebGrid" in my project, its not working properly with browser IE-11. Since we have used this control in many places in our project, So its difficult to switch into new controls like Aikido within short period... Is there any other way to fix this issue with the ultrawebgrid to run in Internet Explorer 11 by setting compatible mode as browser IE-8 or any quick-fix solution to make it work in IE-11 browser.
Thanks.
Thank you for the update. As the UltraWebGrid was retired before IE11 was release it isn’t supported in IE11. You can try setting the browser in compatibly mode to see if that will temporally resolve your issues. Support for IE9 was implemented in volume 10.2 so you should be able to run in that. You can try putting in a meta tag on pages you have with retied controls to force the browser to run in compatibly mode.
