I want to export two WebDataGrids to PDF via the WebDocumentExporter. The problem is
I do a ton of formatting in the InitializeRow events of both grids. Right now when I export them
they are stripped of everything. How can I get the style formatting into the PDF???
A couple of other things:
- When I tried to add the InitializeRow events to my code to produce the formatting, nothing exports
and it produces an "argument out of range" error
- I do have the EnableStyles property set to True
An answer would be greatly appreciated
Can I get a response on this??? The version I'm using is: 11.1.20111.2216 is there a
service release to fix this problem???
Hello legalke,
Is it possible to share some code illustrating the kind of styling done on InitializeRow ? A working sample would be greatly appreciated and will allow me to examine this matter in more detail. Please note that exporting of dynamically generated styling is not supported for the WebDocumentExporters (however it may be possible to export styling pertaining to certain CSS rules).
Do not hesitate to contact me with any updates or questions.
Peter, there's no need to send code because of your answer about dynamic styling not being allowed. My question is when
will dynamic styling be allowed in the Exporters? With the "Classic Grids" you were able to do a lot of creative things I need
that ability in the new grids. This is VERY important
Thank you for your reply.
I would just like to clarify that some CSS rules should successfully be exported even when dynamically applied (especially rules which are already present in the existing stlylesets, e.g. background color. Extended CSS styling export would be a new product idea. You can suggest new product ideas for future versions (or vote for existing ones) at <http://ideas.infragistics.com>.
