I searched through all the posts in WebMaskEdit after searching for mask and javascript and couldn't find an example to do this, nor am I able to in the documentation.
I'm actually doing ._setMask but it doesn't seem to update the mask, plus it looks ('_') like an internal method.
Thanks,
Cliff
Hello Cliff,Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this issue.
Hello Cliff,Thank you for sharing this information in the forum. Can you please tell me from where did you get the information that the function is private.? All the javascript properties/functions which start with “_” are private one and are not recommended to be used.
I"ve been told that _setMask is a private function and we've asked for it to be made public, but no promises on when. So I guess it is back to the old WebMaskEdit instead of WebMaskEditor. :(
I think the _setMask may work, but when switching from a numeric (#) to alpha or character (A or C) mask, what is typed in after the mask is changed, does not appear to be there when you reach the server.
So not sure if the issue is incorrect setting of the mask or something quirky with switching masks and then posting back.
