Hi,I have a Web Ap., V9.2, Framework 3.5, UltrawebGrid, ajax disabled, (url http://www.atbtires.be/Lijsten/St_Search.aspx)With client side row mouse over scripts, that display images on the right side of the grid,based upon the image url in the grid (hidden of course)Now I developed this more than 1 year ago, but now these problems pop up:IE8 : all okayIE9 in Compatibility Mode: work okay until you use the scrollbar of the gridIE9 normal mode : images displayedGoogle Chrome: the grid itself completely f.. upMozilla Firefox: grid more or less okay but no mouse over effect
So can somebody advise me how to update this side without startingover?
Friendly greetings,Jurgen
glance at the scripts I used:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UltraWebGrid1_MouseOverHandler(gridName, id, objectType){...var image = document.getElementById(row.getCellFromKey("Image").Id).currentStyle.backgroundImage;div.style.backgroundImage = image;div.style.zIndex = 1;div.style.visibility = "visible";...}
function UltraWebGrid1_MouseOutHandler(gridName, id, objectType) {if (objectType == 0) { .... div.style.display = "block"; div.style.zIndex = -1; div.style.visibility = "hidden"; ...}--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi onnitelenet.be,
Thank you for posting in the community.
Please note that version 9.2 of NetAdvantage does not suppor Chrome and IE9, and versions of Mozilla newer than 3.5. Refer to our supported environments page for a detailed list of the supported platforms:
http://es.infragistics.com/support/supported-environments.aspx#SupportedEnvironments
The UltraWebGrid control is now outdated and as of .NetAdvantage 2011 Volume 2 is no longer included in our product package. I would suggest that you consider switching to the WebDataGrid/WebHieararchicalDataGrid. More information regarding these controls is available at:
http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/ASPNET/2011.2/CLR4.0/?page=Web_WebDataGrid_WebDataGrid.html
Additional samples demonstrating the features of these grids can be found at:http://samples.infragistics.com/aspnet/

Hi,Thanks for the info. But this means I have 2 problems now.First is that I have to replace all Ultrawebgrids in Data Updating pages. Updating data in the griditself doen't work for me. Because, I have record structures that are just to big, the user wouldwould have to scroll 600 pixels. Further more the validation would be come very difficult. And I'mnot familiar with javascript. Up till now I could just put a Button in the UltraWebgrid and trigger apost back. Then Fill a record View on the screen to handle the update. So I tried to do the samething in a datagrid:<Behaviors><ig:Selection CellClickAction="Row" RowSelectType="Single" OnRowSelectionChanged="RowSelected"><AutoPostBackFlags RowSelectionChanged="True" />and code behind:protected void RowSelected(object sender, Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.SelectedRowEventHandler e){ ...} But the parameters don't fit according to VS ?? I also tried a client select with a webmethod but then my function can't reach webobjects or othercode behind functions beacause it has to be static?? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8D8PDWF7Is)
[WebMethod] public static void SelectedItemWebMethod(int[] ids) {
Please HELP!

Hi Jurgen,
Thank you for your reply.
I am not sure I fully understand your requirement, however if you are having issues with setting updating with WebDataGrid I would suggest that you take a look at the videos linked at the following blog:
http://blogs.infragistics.com/blogs/craig_shoemaker/archive/2010/02/16/what-is-the-difference-between-webdatagrid-autocrud-and-manual-crud.aspx
Regarding your selection question, I am attaching a sample illustrating a WebDataGrid with postback configured on changing the row selection. Note that if you need to handle row updates in such a case, this should be done in the Updating event of WebDataGrid (given that AutoCRUD is set to false).
Please let me know if this helps.
