2008.1, VS 2008 error when charts in Design View

I have 2008.1 installed running on VS 2008.  Whenever I try to compile with a ultrawebchart on the active page in Design view visual studio crashes.  Any ideas why this is occurring?  I am running Infragistics version 8.1.20081.1000

    can you describe the crash?  have you tested this using the 8.1 hotfix version?   it might be fixed, as there was at least one VS-crash-related bugfix made by us in the 8.1 release -> 1st hotfix timeframe.
