WebDataMenu: how to replace background image for hover/disabled etc.
posted

Hello,

I'm a bit fighting with Applic.Stylist of ASP.NET v2010.3.
In my new stylist library, I have created a new style. I like to have a different background image and different font color for root menu entries if I hover over / activate / disactivatea root menu entry.

Whatever I do, I realized that not all CSS settings of different states (e.g. CSS for MenuGroupVertical and/or MenuGroupVerticalRoot etc.) are at least correctly displayed in the preview if I press "refresh" each time I'm changing for instance the file property of background and color of section font.
I assume this is maybe related to the structure of produced CSS file (inheritance of class properties).

May you give me an advice how to get different background images and font colors if I hover over / disable / activate a root menu entry? Maybe my question is too easy to solve :-).

Thanks
Stephan

    Hi Stephan,

there were a few issues with AppStylist and WebDataMenu in 10.3 RTM, so I suggest to upgrade to the first SR that will go out some time after 10th of November 2010.

Also if your menu have scrolling enabled this means that you have to customize  MenuGroupVerticalScrolling class as well as MenuGroupVertical class. You can also take a look of the new classes related to scrolling at the bottom of the css file.

    Thanks,

    Lubomir
