I can't get CLR 4.0 controls to install and therefore they don't show up in the version upgrade utility. I have framework 4.0 installed on my computer along with VS 2010 express. I contacted support and they had me add a registry key InstallDir to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0
I did that and uninstalled and reinstalled the program (twice) and there are still no CLR 4.0 controls. I followed up on my case: CAS-50225-V8K475 3 days ago and have not heard anything back.
Hi, The resolution to this is to add an InstallDir string value to the registry key given below. Could you please cross check the path.
Thank you
Are we saying that this version will not install on 64 bit windows platforms?
Hi Alan,
Where you able to resolve your issue using the workaround provided?
Oh, I was asking a more rhetorical question. I have not attempted to install these controls yet as they don't support Silverlight 3 and we are not prepared to jump to SL 4 yet. I am just looking for anything which can help me for when I do actually perform the install.
I took a look at your support case and could see that you were able to resolve your issue. Thanks for letting us know it was resolved and please feel free to let us know if we can assist you with anything else.
