Is the .Net Project Add-In gone?
posted

I just installed the latest service pack for IG 2010 Volume 2 and when I went to use the .Net Project Add-In in Visual Studio 2010, .Net 4.0 is not listed as an available options in the dropdown.

My website is a 4.0 web application.

I then looked to see if the add-in was possibly out of date, but the plug-in is no where to be found in the IG directory, only my addins directory and the date on it is quite old.

Has the add-in been discontinued??  I know there is a new version utility, but that does not work well when the solution is under source control as I have to manually check things out before I run it.

    Hi,

Sounds like you are looking for what used to be called the Project Upgrade Add-in.  You’re right that functionality has been replaced with the new Version Utility.  As I understand there will be an Add-In version of the new utility in the future.

For now you can continue to use the older Add-in, although it was only designed to work with WinForms and ASP.NET.
