We have a web Application developed on Dot Net 1.1 framework and with Infragistics 5.1 controls.
Now we are planning to upgrade the application to Dot Net framework 2.0 (or higher version)
and Infragistics 8.2. Using Visual Studio IDE (or some other tool) we will convert the code into higher version.
While upgrading from Infragistics 5.1 to 8.2, are there any tools available to upgrade
the entire code along with Infragistics controls?
Or else do we have to rewrite the Infragistics code for upgrading from Infragistics 5.1 to 8.2?
Kindly let us know whether Infragistics migration from 5.1 to 8.2 should be done before or after Dot Net code is converted to higher version?
Please suggest a best option to upgrade From Dot.Net 1.1 & Infragistics 5.1 To
Dot Net 2.0 (or higher version) & Infragistics 8.2.
I provided an answer very similar questions in the following forum post:http://forums.infragistics.com/forums/p/17948/65185.aspx#65185
While this post refers to our Windows Forms controls, the process and suggestions are nearly the same.
