MonthView: How to determine the current month in display?

I want to only load the data for the current month in display using the WebMonthView. Is there a property in WebMonthView or WebScheduleInfo that will provide me with the current month or days that are being displayed. I tried using the ActiveDayUtc but it is not fool proof solution.
