We're creating a user-based survey and we need the web sliders to not have a default value so that we can use a required field validator on them. At the moment the default value is set to the lowest value, so they can simply go on to the next question without ever actually selecting something.

Unfortunately this cannot currently be accomplished in the WebSlider; there is always a default value. If you would like, you can submit a feature request for this functionality here.
