Everytime I install a new version of Infragistics, this time 7.3, I try to use the included Visual Studio Project Upgrade Add-In on an ASP.NET Website to upgrade the website from the old version (this time 7.2) to the new. I always receive the following error:
Error Upgrading Project(s): The upgrading process failed with the following error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi,
Could you get me the upgrade log file?
It should be at this location.
\Documents\Infragistics\NetAdvantage for .NET 200 Vol. CLR X.x\Project Upgrade Utility
And a screen shot of your solution explorer so I have some idea of the structure of your solution.
We'll see if we can't solve this for you.

It has been two years since my original post. I upgraded my web applications through four more Infragistics versions, up to 9.2, and still the upgrade add-in is completely useless with its "object reference" error. It fails in both Visual Studio 2005 (.NET 2.0) and Visual Studio 2008 (.NET 3.5).
I too am getting this error.?????
I continue to have this error as well. Same thing with NetAdvantage9.2. Any update?
I've had the same issue with every version since 7ish...
