Anyone know how to rid the Quick Designs panel for choosing a preset of that annoying error regarding blocked content? It seems like a security setting in my browser...

Indeed it is. That preview is built using an actual ie browser surface (didn't seem like a good idea to write our own browser and rendering engine ). The problem is that there is some javascript included in the preview. To avoid javascript errors, there's a base handler which captures and 'kills' all js errors. Unfortunately, the browser window warns that the window contains active content because of that. One of those implementation details we've been unable to get rid of. My apologies for the annoyance.
