To use TestAdvantage with UFT 11.5 you need to install patch UFT_00001.
Let me know if you have any questions with this matter.
Updated software to UFT 11.51 and confirming that infragistics is in work
+pavan
Pavan,
Are you confirming that you are able to record and playback scripts after the update?
Hi Alan,
I am new member to the Infragistics community.
Currently i am working on a .NET Desktop application which have the controls designed on dev environment such as "Dev Components.DotNetBar.RibbonBar", "Infragistics.UltraGrid.windows forms"...etc & also using UFT 11.5 to record the objects. Few of the objects are not getting indentied using Default recording, in such cases i am using Insight recording. In some other cases, i am converting the objects to Virtual objects to get it identified.
I am facing issue in one of the object getting identified. Its a kind of drop down box i can say, but as u add this object, its just showing me as SwfObject......and not as Combobox, listbox, table, cell...etc.
Please let me know in case of add-inns that i have missed to install. and also do let me know how to idnetify this object.?
Regards,
Sandeep
Sandeep,
For any Infragistics for Windows Forms controls you would need to use Windows Forms Test Automation for HP/TestAdvantage for Windows Forms of the volume that matches the volume of Infragistics/NetAdvantage controls being used. If you haven't already installed this then you should do so. The latest version is available from the Windows Forms Test Automation for HP page. Older volumes of TestAdvantage are available from the archived downloads page.
If you already have the correct version of Windows Forms Test Automation for HP/TestAdvantage for Windows Forms installed then please provide the swftypename of the control that you are having difficulty identifying.
Thanks for the quick response. I would try to install Net Advantage & try it again.
I will keep you posted in case of any further issues.
Best Regards,
I'm not sure I understand what you are doing. I don't think you need to install anything else. You had asked which version of NetAdvantage you need and I explained that since you are using TestAdvantage 13.2 version-free, you need to verify that the application you are testing was built with NetAdvantage 13.2 version-free assemblies. Are you able to determine which version of NetAdvantage was used to build the application you are testing? Can you confer with your developers about this?
Hi Michael,
Y'day night I replied back to your answer from my mobile, seems unfortunately did not get posted.
The link which Alan had provided me in his earlier reply, accessed the same link and installed the test advantage. During installation, it asked me to select an option out of 3 options...1. Disable all versions, 2. 13.2CLR4.0, 3. Version Free. I had selected version free option. Please let me know in detail if any thing else need to be installed, since its becoming difficult to identify that object by any means.
The application that is being tested must have been built using the version of NetAdvantage that corresponds to the version of TestAdvantage that you are using. You say that you have selected TestAdvantage 13.2CLR4.0 Version Free. So your application has to have been built using NetAdvantage 2013 volume 2 with version-free assemblies. Let me know if you have further questions.
Awaiting your reply at the earliest. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, that I am using Test Automation Version Free utility. I even have othet options as 13.2CLR4.0. Currently I have selected Version Free option. I also mentioned that I am using .NET framework version 4.0 in my machine.
Could you please let me know the exact net advantage version & patches if any, that I need to use?
I tried installing UFT_00001.exe patch, but no luck.
The ribbon panel in which the object resides, is kind of a drop down box.....from where I need to select the item. During the record, the item is not getting identified.
please provide me the solution.
