Hi - I'm evaluating NetAdvantage reporting for use in a windows forms app but I can't seem to get anything to work.
I think I just need a point in the right direction.
1. The online manual talks about a report designer, but I cannot locate any designer after installing. Is there a separate installer I need to run? Is this a separate application? A VS plugin?
2. None of the sample reports work and I can't find any sample reports using forms in C#/VB.NET
Thanks.
Hi ttorion,
With the recent release of 13.2, the reporting plugin now supports VS2013. Let me know if you have any questions on this.
We are planning to release support for VS2013 in our next version release (13.2). Just in case we don't make it in time for the scheduled release I have opened a private case for you where I have linked it to an open development issue for this. This will notify you automatically when the development issue has been resolved and released. The case number is CAS-125776-R4D4R9 and the development issue ID is 156683. You can view the case here.
Currently NetAdvantage for Reporting does not support VS2013 and trying to manually add the templates from VS2012 to VS2013 causes an error dialog to come up. I've contacted our product team to see what our stance is on Reporting for VS2013 so I'll get back to you when I hear from them.
OK - I see what the problem is... Reporting does not appear to work with VS 2013, or at least it does not show up. I can see it in VS 2012. Is there a way to get 2013 to see the reporting types when I go to "add new item" to the project?
