I'm using a WebMenu (v8.1) on a page that also has validators.  When a menu item is clicked, I would like to fire the validators and only proceed if there are no errors.  (Think of the menu item as being a button.)

I haven't found a way to get the WebMenu to do this.  Is there any sample code for extending the WebMenu to fire the event, check the results, and only proceed if  the input data is good?
