Still InvalidateData() Exception after update to 20112.2068

I have to edit a set of unbound data outside the grid. Till now I'd used InvalidateData() to update the grid. This worked up to version 10.3. With version 20112, there is an exception as posted from other users too. This error is not resolved by the latest service release 20112.2068. I need an urgent workaround to the grid to redraw after updating data.
