How to select/ deselect node from client side

I have a webdatatree with single selection and want to deselect the current selections and set another node as selected.

Hello Lily,

Please take a look at the attached from me sample which uses 11.2.20112.1019. Sample has 2 buttons - asp and html and they present cliend side selection changind and server side one. You can see how they are implemented. I have tested the sample with IE 9.
